Changing PS Fluid to Synthetic...

My question is: If I use the Turkey baster method and get what I can out of the reservoir, can I use the Mobil 1 ATF in there? Or would that not be good since I didn't flush the PS fluid out and get it all out. I ask because I know if you mix regular oil and synthetic oil it will have bad effects and could cause leaking. I didn't know if this went for ATF fluids as well.

I searched and could not find this answer.

Pretty sure that is a myth.

However, if you are concerned and you are doing the turkey baster method, you should:

1) Remove ATF from reservoir, refill, drive (plenty of turns) for 5 or 10 miles.
2) Repeat Step 1 for another 2 times.
3) Remove ATF from reservoir and refill.
Complete Steps 1, 2 and 3 within the same day.

If your PS pump seal was not leaking to begin it, it should not leak now.
