i was wondering if the svt 5 speed is the same as all other 5 sppeds that come in 2.5 cougars mystiques and contours. does the year matter? and what should i be looking to spend on one?

svt transmission same as all 2.5

yes they are all the same but you need one that is a cable shifter not a rod shifter which where used in the pre98's
