Pale Horse put together a very nice HOW TO REPLACE YOUR FUEL PUMP, but I have a couple of questions.
I did some looking and didn't fine the info I know must be here about this issue, so Please make me smarter..... well at least about this problem
Does this resolve the 1/4 tank issue? Running out of gas with a 1/4 tank is BS, but you know that....
In replacing the fuel pump for a standard 2.5 L what pump would you use?
Is there other fuel pumps out there that work well for the non SVT 2.5, and fix the problem?
As for access, what about making the hole as large as needed then cutting out a ring around the access hole from another car and screw it or use pop rivits & silicone to put it over the enlarged hole so if needed in the future there would be easy access?
I agree that in every case, if you open the tank wether you remove it or not one should clean it out completely.
thanks
