Having owned a RHD car here in the states I can honestly say the novelty wears off really quick. You can only get so much entertainment out of going through the drive through backwards or getting pulled over because the person in the passenger seat is asleep and people are calling the cops.

Mark, there didn't seem to be anything wrong with the car so why the drastic action?

Yes from the thread I started once I read about it over on the STdriveRS forums this was Mark's reply...

There is nothing wrong with the car at all & it drives perfectly (& goes rather well as well ). I'm buying a brand new car so did try selling the ST as a complete car but only got stupid offers. The government over here are doing a scrappage scheme & they will give you £2000 but it has to be crushed.
I did a deal with my Ford dealer that I can bring the ST in minus whatever bits I wanted to keep (& then sell on) as long as he can push it about to get it on the trailor for the crusher.

So Wednesday I'm taking the 3.0L Hybrid engine out, all teh interior, suspension, wheels, exhaust, bodykit & a load of other bits.
If I sell everything I'm taking off & along with the £2000 I'll get for the rolling shell I'll make about double what I advertised the complete thing for.

It will be a real shame to do it but it makes financial sense to do it, apart form a bit of work stripping it.

I'll update you with some before/after photos
