Red face Engine Removal Mega Wires!

Hey Guys, So my engine is half way out hanging high but still in my engine bay!

There are a huge group of wires by the mega fuse and such that seem to be either caught on the engine or stuck to it. I did not remove any of these. Please let me know if I just need to push them away from the engine or do I have to do something else.

Looking from the front of the car it is on the passenger side/rear of the engine bay on the side and behind the engine.

For Reference(they are running on the firewall):

Thanks CEG

They can stay with the engine when you pull it.

It's probably just fighting you, just keep rocking it back and forth.

Edit: is your AC compressor off? Belt still looks under tension.

The AC Compressor is on.... But I removed the Condensor(radiator type?) and the connections to it.

I am almost sure I will be removing all the lines and such involving the AC so I didnt care to open it.

To get that wire pack out with the engine you need to disconnect it from the computer on the passenger firewall under the power steering tank and from the connection right in front of the brake master cylinder.

I took the two bolts off (8mm) that bolted it onto the rear valve cover. I did not want to take it off at the time. I will take pictures now and from there I will remove them to help me with reinstalling!

Looks like you still didn't disconnect the harness from the PCM under the power steering res as Bugzuki was saying. You at least still have that part of the harness clipped on the firewall as I can see in the picture. Pull the harness out of that, but first, you will need to pull up the powersteering res and use a 10mm socket to disconnect the PCM, Similar to the main harness on the drivers side (by the Brake fluid Res). You will also need to remove the ground wires for the PCM. Also a 10mm. That part of the harness comes out with the motor. And if your A/C compressor is still on, you will need to remove that (Three 10mm bolts), after pulling the serpentine belt off. That can rest on the subframe. I think you mentioned removing the A/C Condensor (not sure why?), but you will need to remove the compressor from the motor.

Thanks Reebs. I think Im good. I understand 100% what you are talking about. The Compressor wasnt taken off casue I didnt feel like taking it off. I will take it off as soon as I get the engine on a stand and start cleaning my engine for reinstalling.
