My strip is already trying to come off on one end so maybe I should go ahead and pull it to try doing it green.

is it really necessary to soak these things in order to get the chrome off or can you get away with simply painting over the chrome?

So what are you guys doing to prep the strip?
Just scuffing it with sand paper...or are you doing the ol' acid bath??
