belt close to edge

How close to the edge can the serpentine belt be on the tensioner? Mine is right at the edge (new belt). Is it ok like that? If not, what should I doooo?

Anyone happen to know if my belt is gonna snap while I'm driving?

When I replaced my belt it made the supercharger whine too. It went away after a week or two.

If I remember Ill take a look at my tensioner when I leave for work. If you belt is still seated correctly on all the other pullies I wouldnt sweat it.

Alright thanks. It hasn't broke yet so I guess it'll be ok. Just in case, I'm taking my old belt and tools needed to change it with me to the mountains in 2 weeks.

what tools are used to change the belt i tried using a regular 3\8 ratchet but it wouldnt fit due to the body of the car being to close to the tensioner.

I used something a co-worker has (I work in an auto shop). It's a 3/8" thing that fits into a boxed end 5/8" wrench.

If the belt is right near the back edge of the tensioner, both in my family fleet are like that (both Mystiques w/Duratec), one with new tensioner.
