Thread: Anyone with a Steeda Short Throw Shifter

Default Anyone with a Steeda Short Throw Shifter

I am getting a prototype made for the Steeda short throw and I need someone's car to try it out on. I can try it with my stock shifter but that doen't tell me length and general fitment with the steeda. I hear a 2000 might be different, so if anyone else has a Y2K contour we could try it on, moe betta.

A prototype? From what I understand the 00-02 1/2 Focus Tri-Ax will work with the correct adapter plate from scottd60 I think. I got one but have been too broke to get the shifter.

I guess Scott60 has been unable to step forward with any more plates. So I was going to make some and have them always available like my intake plates.

Those steeda shifters are a little spendy aren't they. But that is a lot of lathe work. Probably CNC Lathe, but still.

the 2k is different ... the plate needs to be 10mm thick, I can double check my car this weekend if you like ...

    So pre 2ks need to be 3/8 = 0.375 and 2ks need to be 10mm = 0.394
Not much difference there. Would it work to just ma them all 10mm or just .4"

BrApple - if you could check for me I would appreciate it.
