    Default Oily spark plugs

During the changing of my spark plugs I found that cylinders 2 and 3 have some oil on the bottom of the plugs. Cylinder 3 is completely covered and cylinder 2 is just a little wet. Cylinders 1 and 4 are dry.
I have a CEL code for misfire on cylinder 3, but aside from the CEL there are no symptoms of a misfire.

I am guessing this is a bad head gasket, but not sure, as I don't know that much about engines. Would this be a correct assumption?

Cheap and easy solution.....change the valve cover gasket.

THEN, see if you still have the problem.

I'm changing my valve cover gasket also, oil in a few of the spark openings. Will I notice any performance gain when its done?

Yea if your plugs are fouling from the oil immersion. LOL!
