Saw a different set up the other day

Had this S10 come into work the other day and he had his Amp wire hooked up to his Alternator. I know this would be hard to do in our cars because of our alt location. Anyone else have there set up this way.

Ive never seen that before. Did he get a more consistant power feed from the alternator vs. the battery?

That's just kinda wierd really. much easier to just go off the battery, which is in the charging system anyways. You won't be getting any ectra voltage by doing so I don't imagine.

Most of the SPL people do it if they have exra batteries or a higher output alt and batteries so they dont over charge the "normal" vehical battery.
