Looking to replace a slave cylinder on my current project in an 01 Cougar. Ford here in Canada wants over $200 for an OEM slave. I'm also replacing control arms since the ball joints were butchered by the previous mechanic and will be putting in an order with Rockauto.
My question is Rockauto sells the Sachs cylinder which I was under the impression, was used by Ford. Would this be my safest bet over the Dorman unit and consider OEM? They also sell an AMS Brand cylinder priced between the the Sachs and Dorman.
Dorman 54.46CAD
AMS Automotive 89.45CAD
Sachs 150.89CAD
I only want to do this once. I live right on the US/Canada border so I have a US address Im shipping this to.
