I sold #1900 to Hetfield.
I then sold my '96 silverado.
and today i purchased this from a Mass highway department auction.

1987 Chevrolet R30
1-ton
4-door
longbed
454 Ci

and only 27K miles.

it was used for friction testing of paved surfaces.
it carried a 500 gallon water tank in the bed, pumped by a pump that worked off the transmission. that is the large connector on the rear bumper.
the trailer had a tire set up that would be locked up at 40 mph and all the data was read and recorded by the data logger in the center console.

i removed the air compressor and tanks today and still have to remove the water pump and a ton of wires and hoses.
then it will be changing colors...
not sure exactly what i want yet, but it will be different.
 
I thought it just had a badass bag system going on till i read the caption underneath it, haha.

That is a lot of controls on that truck!
 
dropping it was my first thought, but the way is set up will require notching the frame and i don't want to do that.
i plan on using it as a truck so i dont want to go crazy with it.
 
Depending on the system you get, air ride can be one of the best suspension's you can get that will actually hold up. I know a guy that builds and sells bagged dually's and all of them haul his horse trailers, full of horses. So i don't see why this wouldn't.
