just a quick question guys...

when i check the fuel pressure with the ignition on but the engine off, my fuel pressure is 40 - 45 psi

when i check it again with the engine running it is 65- 70 psi :eek:

is this normal ? if not, what is ?

I'm wondering if i should turn it down so that it is 20 psi ign. on and 40 psi at idle.. thanks ....G.

255L walbro and FSE adjustable regulator ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FSE-Sytec-Power-Boost-Valve-For-Ford-Orion-1-6-Efi-89-PBV38835/121163024776?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222003%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D22094%26meid%3D6440883476032519924%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D9625%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D140335316846&rt=nc )

ok i got this straightened out.

The method is;

1. remove the vacuum hose from the FPR and block the vac hose, so you don't have a vac leak.

2. Start the engine and adjust the pressure as required.

3. Stop engine, lock the lock nut and replace FPR vac hose.

According to the articles i read, the pressure should drop with the FPR vacuum line re-attached...... mine dropped by 5psi.

Really surprised that my walbro pumps out nearly double the pressure between battery voltage and alternator voltage .....G.
