The most effective mod I think you can do for a Zetec is an intake. Check out the SleeperZ intake.

Here's the How To:

Hey BP, I see you must have gotten the email from Chris.

another great mod if you have a return style fuel system is an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. It will require a fuel pressure gauge to setup properly but I definitely noticed a difference in power delivery.

Thanks striker! I was going to send you a PM on the Mazda forums but you beat me to it. I owe you a beer. :D

I've also got to agree and am kicking myself for not mentioning it. The AFPR makes it soo much more responsive. It takes out a dead spot in the rev range around 3-4k rpms too. It's an easy mod to do too once you've got the stock intake plenum off. One other suggestion, if you have an OBD2 reader, you can fine tune the AFPR's pressure to get your AFR dead on. Once I had the intake, gutted cat, and full exhaust, I had to bump mine up because I was running a bit lean.

BTW, it's just a regular Mustang regulator. I tried the BBK version but it leaked. Get the Aeromotive...

Shameless plug.

I carry Aeromotive products so I can get that regulator. unfortunately I am not able to match Summits crazy low price on its own but if anyone is looking for something else at the same time (brakes, suspension, gauges, etc) then I can make a deal.
