Protip: Put pulse wheel on right ....make sure the injector harness is plugged in good.

If you attempt to do one of these builds and don't have engine building experience, have deep pockets. Read these forums until you can put a contour together in your sleep.

99 CSVT with 155692 miles. 9k on the 05 FULL 3L. 3L cams everything. 7/24/09 3:58PM

98.5 CSVT 93K on body 36k on 04 3L with SVT cams, upper and lower, tb etc.

98 CSVT 182K on body 28k on 04 3L with SVT cams, upper and lower, tb etc..

Add one for GRODsvt he's a new member I just finished up his portmatched 04 3L all stock with borla exhaust
 
im wondering what 3l makes the most power? the oval port? there are a variety used and there alot of options. the hybrid intake manifolds from the 2.5 and what about cams? is the block significantly heavier?
 
1999 csvt 3 liter went in at approximately 28k. put in an 01 taurus 3 liter with about 25k on it. full 3 liter with svt cams.

the only part that was a major PITA were the welded fuel rails and grinding that one piece that was in the way (dont recall specifics). car runs great! has k&n, weapon R, true bends high flow cats and true bends exhaust with magnaflows. tuned by ADC on the dyno. put down 220fwhp/220fwtq.

only issue ive had since is the throttle hang :blackeye:
