Max Thickness Spacer w/Stock Hub Assy?

Does anyone know how thick of a spacer can be used with stock hubs and the ST200 17X7 wheels before there isn't enough threads? 3mm, 5mm, 8mm?

Does adding spacers necessitate an allignment?

I wouldnt go any further than 5 mm on stock studs. Putting 8 mm on there would leave you just a few mm left of threads.
