Thread: '98.5 E1 Silver Contour SVT, Chicago, 77k miles

  1. Default '98.5 E1 Silver Contour SVT, Chicago, 77k miles

Something in my motor crapped out, I have a feeling it's a spun rod bearing or something, motor won't turn over. I was going to swap something in when it gets warm but don't feel like doing all the work and would rather take the loss and sell it as is.

'98.5 E1 CSVT - silver, blue interior. 77k miles, clean title. All stock except alpine headunit, kenwood amp, rear deck mounted 8" sub and polk speakers, and BAT intake. I also put in eDead throughout the whole car (all door panels, rear deck, and the whole interior) - makes for a very quiet ride, and completely unnoticeable. Interior condition is great, exterior has usual scrapes around the bottom of the bumpers, and a key scratch across the passenger side (damn ex). No rust, nothing else wrong. New brakes, new master cylinder, new alternator and serpentine belt installed, freshly aligned from NTB, new battery.

Feel free to call or email me with any questions or inquiries. Cell: 847-370-7870. Email: kevintarson@hotmail.com

Please note that I am not willing to part it out as I do not have time, energy, and space to do this, so don't ask for individual parts. I'm just going to cut my losses and go the diesel route... Jetta TDI ftw!

    Asking price: $2,000.

Hey maurader I'll give you a call tomorrow.

redneckboarder- I bought the edead straight from their website with a 20% coupon. I got 100 square feet, which was enough to fill the car. www.edesignaudio.com I think is where I got it.

Is that a CD holder I spy in the back seat? If it is, I have one of those too!

Posted back up for sale again... don't feel like doing a swap on this thing, I'd rather just cut my losses and get a new car. $2,000 takes it.

Here's pics of the scratch. It looks like the door handle probably needs to be completely sanded/repainted, while the rest looks like it could just be buffed out and touched up. The scratch didn't cut through to the metal anywhere except the door handle. The rest of the paint is overall in pretty good condition, aside from the front bottom bumper scratches/curb marks.
