ok i don't know much about window tint but have you ever noticed that on "unique whips" on speed that they put it on the outside? I'm no expert but, i would think thats a no-no.
The guys i've seen tint windows usually size the window up by putting it on the outside. They apply it just like they would the inside but leave the protective film on. When they get the right shape cut out and no bubbles they move it to the inside.
yes that is how it is done. much easier to cut to size on the outside of the glass where you don't have to deal with trim and weird angles...i have tinted many windows.
