More than two years after putting my headers on....










My check engine light has turned off.

I think the bulb burned out.

I'm pretty sure that it's either playing with me, or the light just got tired of being on ALL THE TIME. I'm going to check it tomorrow to see if it's truly off - if it is, I'll be really surprised. It came on about 30 miles after the headers went on, and has been on ever since. I have MIL eliminators for it, just have not had time (motivation) to put them on.

Sounds like my daughter's 'tour. The CEL went out one day and I said " you can only hope it burned out but I think it's just toying with you". Her's is now the "fix one thing and something else happens" to make that damned light come back on. I wish it was only a MIL eliminator issue (she has them). In all fairness, it is mainly for things that are due for a change.

Ken has headers on his 2000 with no MIL eliminators. He hasn't had a CEL in the three years he's had them on. Maybe I shouldn't have said that out loud.

She was teasing me. The light came back on this morning on my way home from work. When it stops raining I'll go out and check to see if it's a different code than before.
