windshield?

i tried searching, cuz i thought i had seen something around the forums a little while ago on replacing the windshield, but i came up with nothing.
apparently i've had a crack in the windshield, cuz this morning it spread...

anyway, places to replace a windshield around metro detroit? how much is typical for a windshield?

I had Harmon autoglass do mine in Dearborn about 1.5 years ago, and they came to my office and did it, and after insurance, it was I think only $25 out of pocket.

Call your insurance company and see what they cover for front glass. and see who they recommend in the area.

Insurance has always covered mine and the ded. was covered by the glass company. And they always came to me. Called 5 placed before I could find someone that would do PPG glass though.

Just had mine replaced like 2 weeks ago.

I had a place called "Lairds" in Novi do it...if you look in the little coupon packs in the mail you should be able to find places that will cover your deductible so that its $0 out of your pocket...and call around and make sure that they'll do it with OEM glass if you want...I've heard of people having problems with aftermarket that's why I went with OEM....but its your call.

Assuming you're going through insurance, you shouldn't have trouble finding places that will do it free with OEM glass.

yea never go with aftermarket , all i sell if oem equipment unless your broke and want a cheap windshield that will leak and is 1/2 as thick as your oem windshield.
