Heating issue

I have a 1995 contour 4 cyl and cant firgure out why when u drive the car when it is warm it likes to stay between the a and the l when on the street and freeway. The fan only comes on when the car is on the L, unless I turn the AC on. But really doesnt go back down. It still stays in the same spot between the A and L in normal. I usually on turn on when in traffic or street. Im wondering why the fan doesnt come on sooner. Any help will do.

sounds like your your low speed fan isnt coming on. it could be the relay or it could be the resistor. if you search here and on the old forums you should be able to find some things to help you out.

Check the wiring harness to the fan. If it's brittle and cracking, could have a short. Check here http://www.contour.org/ceg-vb/showth...wiring+harness and here http://www.contour.org/ceg-vb/showth...wiring+harness for any info. If that is what is needed.

Well it seems to be working better. Now I have to fix the speedo gauge since someone rolled back, and broke the milage gauge
