Default is it better to host your pics elsewhere?

just like the title says, does this site have an issue with pictures being displayed and is it better to host them on another site or just upload them here? thanks

Better if the uploading site lets you pic the size of the picture, other then that not much different

The forums do have a size limit, but the biggest thing I hate about people hosting pictures from the forums, is they never insert the IMG tags into the post. They just attach a bunch of pictures and at the end of the post you have to click on each link one at a time. Click, view, go back, click, view, go back..............

I tend to just ignore pictures posted that require opening each one. It's much easier to see it all displayed in the thread while I scroll through reading. The same thing does happen with pictures hosted on outside sites, but it's more common when hosted from the forums.

The nice thing about attaching them to the forum is that they stick around. If you do a lot of surfing in old threads you find a lot of broken images because the hosting sites people used are either no longer around, or the images are no longer there.

Yeah, trying to stay away from broken images is why my photobucket account is in complete disarray.

That is why people should at least use the insert attachment inline option. I always provide image tags or inline attachment numbers for mine for this very reason. It is annoying when you have to open the images.

Yeah... that is the only problem with it. I keep looking into my photobucket at stuff that is not and will never be important, but I don't want to delete it because I would hate to leave a broken image in a thread.
I strongly abide by the motto, "Safety third."

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.
