Will these wheels fit my 00 SVT Contour?

Here's the email I got from the seller because I asked him som questions...
"Rims only no tires, I can give them to you for $519 shipped The rims are 17x7.5 4x108 38mm offset
will fit on your 2000 SVT Contour. The rims have 1 year manufactures warranty.

Not sure if the back spacing is right. I'd appreciate your all's advice... I think these would look good on my T-Red with my brand new BAT Kit. What's your all's opinion?

i was running a 40mm offset on my 17x7s and with 215/45s they didnt rub, but 225/45s did in the rear until i rolled my fenders a little more than they had already were. now thats a smaller width and a higher offset so they sat in farther than those rims you are looking at will.

are you lowered at all or plan on getting lowering springs if you're not? if so they probably wont clear with anything but a 215/45. you might be able to squeeze a 225/40 as well but im not sure.

I think that offset would achieve a pretty flush-looking wheel, but you'd likely have to roll the fenders as was mentioned.

Right now I'm running an effective offset of +39 on a 17x7 wheel with a 225 45 17 tire, no rubbing unless I have people in the rear seat with my sub in. I'm lowered on the Koni sport kit which is lower than the Bat kit. When I get my rear fenders rolled (my front's are already rolled), I'm sure I could go all the way down to a +37/+34 (5mm spacers and/or 5mm with 3mm). Not saying I'm going to do the latter, but it is a possibility. You should be fine with those wheels. But you said in your OP that the guy said they are 17x7.5 when the add says 17x8. Either way, with fenders rolled, you're good. If you wanna be safe, go with a 215 45 17 tire, but I'm sure a 225 45 17 would work.

I'll get a pic up soon to show the amount of room I have.
