Exclamation Infraction points & consequences explained.

Some people have been asking myself and other admins about what the infraction points mean, the difference between infractions & warnings, etc.

    Warnings
=zero points, basically a written official warning that can be tracked. It doesn't reduce your posting abilities or count towards an auto-ban.

Infractions=multiple points based on severity of the rules violation. Points Accumulate and once a certain point count is achieved the member is automatically banned for a preset amount of time. (see below) Depending on the infraction, points will expire and automatically be removed from a members account after a set amount of time.

You'll see on some people's info:
    Infractions: 0/1 (25)
The first number (in this case 0) represents the amount of warnings a person has received.
The second is the amount of infractions a person has received.

The number in parenthesis is the amount of infraction points accumulated.

The points auto-ban breakdown is as follows:

    Ban Usergroup Points Infractions BanPeriod
    Banlist Users......30.......................7 Day(s)
    Banlist Users......40.......................2 Week(s)
    Banlist Users......50.......................1 Month(s)
    Banlist Users......60.......................2 Month(s)
    Banlist Users......70.......................6 Month(s)
    Banlist Users......80.......................1 Year(s)
    Banlist Users......90.......................1 Year(s)
    The Gone..........100......................Forever
    Banlist Users.....................3..........10 Day(s)

For the older members with access to the Old Farts Tavern, if you receive an infraction of any kind your posting privileges in the OFT will be removed until your infraction points expire. So behave!
