96 Contour Zetec Overheating

I'm looking at a 96 Zetec ATX with only 55K miles on it.It has an overheating problem but otherwise a very clean car.Are there any common problems for this engine that would make it overheat with such low mileage?

water pump, thermostat.. Clogged radiator.

Turn on heat (warm air = water pump) or hot air coming out=thermostat, radiator, head gasket, bad gauge or gauge sender. A real time scan will tell if the engine is really overheating.
