I have a list of all OBD-II Ford codes listed by make, model, year, and processor.

I put the CDW-27 codes is an easy to ready format for this site. As you can see Ford changed the PCM code quite often. Also any time they had a code update/revision the end number climbed. (normally an emissions or drivability change)

I've also noted that a single strategy pcm can be coded with different engine codes. I haven't worked those details out but that means Not all the codes are required to tune every pcm.

DAR3 is listed in the '99 Cougar, Mystique, AND Contour from Demon's list.

For the record, my PCM is TRW3 and is used in a 1999 MTX V6 Cougar w/ return fuel delivery.

Thanks again Warmonger for starting this resource and Demon for compiling the PCM info to a level nobody expected!

I have need for additional information, however. Demon's list doesn't include transmission info, so somebody hunting for an early '98 PCM with an auto and perhaps without PATS is S.O.L. unless they somehow glean info from the car/seller of said PCM.

The I-4 to V-6 project being undertaken requires a non PATS PCM for a V-6 auto and the engine wiring harness to match.

One thing I've come across in my research is that the '96 2.5L PCM interchange on car-parts.com does not separate the ATX/MTX PCMs. I'm wondering if all PCMs have some sort of ATX electronic control that is simply not utilized when installed on an MTX car.

This leads me to ask, the 1998 SVT PCM that had no PATS (module external to the PCM), has anybody ever tried it on an ATX application?

Any enlightenment from you gurus on this possibility?

An mtx PCM won't work with the ATX as some of the pins needed for the atx are used for other things in mtx.
