Throttle Lagging?

When I get past 4000 RPMs, I get a intermittant lag in power. Could this be the fuel pump?
It could ....or it could be the IMRC, Intake Manifold Runner Control.

Get a fuel pressure test done to confirm. In the meantime, change the fuel filter and remove the plastic cover for the IMRC. The heat could be causing an intermittent failure for the IMRC.

Sorry in advance what is the IMRC, what does it do and are you talkin about that black cover on the engine. Sorry i'm very green when it comes to working on cars. Thanks for your patience

IMRC: Intake manifold runner control

Its under the black plastic. It opens up the butterflys at higher RPM in the lower intake manifold.

No, thats just a cover. This is my CF one.
