Lightbulb Just Wondering About your cars

I was just wondering what some of you have

    1) Done to your car, ex. Mods, paint

    2) Ghetto rigged stuff or made something yourself like a grille

    3) What you Love or hate about your car

well I have not done much to my car, I just recently bought it for $300.00 but I have high hopes. I replaced the MAF sensor, rotors and pads, air filter, tune up and the factory head unit with a Kenwood and took out the old head unit with a coat hanger lol. I love the car to death and I like this forum a lot it's a good place to get info on anything contour related. Right now the only thing I hate about my contour is that the starter is a godless son of a whore to get out. lol

**~~And please don't beat me if someone asked this. lol Take it easy on me, I'm new.~~**
Do you know anything about Upholstery? Or how to make something AWESOME for a 1995 contour? PM me please!

    I'll be nice.
    1. I've put on a set of MSDS headers, glasspack instead of the resonator, K&N warm air intake, tinted windows, hightower headlights (painting the silver parts black), Knauberized (removed door ding guards), new shift knob, pedals, CF IMRC cover, BAT lowering kit, and upgraded audio (Touch screen HU, 2 amps, new door speakers, and 12" sub). Think that's about it, but I am working on the "cannon mod" to take care of people who drive slow in the passing lane.

    2. No ghetto rigged stuff here, learned my lesson about that a long time ago.

    3. I love that it still runs very strong at 187K miles, and it is still good looking enough to turn heads at car cruises. I hate that I've owned it long enough to need a 3rd suspension by next summer.

Default Too many miles, not enough time

    1. So far, only taken care of the maintenance items... Ball joint, wheel bearing, pads & rotors. Intermediate shaft and CV axel this weekend.. hopefully... Bought the car on 3/1/09 w/167,998 and it now has 191,687 (avg 131 / day)

    2. Another who has learned not to ghetto rig anything, it only bites you later

    3. The only thing I hate about the car is that I don't have enough time to work on it.

    1. to much to list right now, read: just about everything that can be done ...

    2. ghetto rig: no. I have done everything myself and put somethings together but I like to think I did everything right and didn't around with it.

    1) Subframe connectors

    2) Anti-moose/throttle hang mod (installed by SVTRacer)

    3) I love everything about this car except the crap stereo that was installed by a previous owner and the garbage tires it came with.

564 love the comfort and conveniance upgrades and how well it handles.
Hate the paint 1/2 repainted and 1/2 faded

576 love the power the sound of the 3l, and that it actually works with no CELS
hate the spec clutch and the old worn out suspention. Handles like crap. A/c doesn't work very well.

i've owned my car for 5 years. it has over 200k on the body now. i just recently went back through my 3L swap and fixed all the "ghetto rigged" stuff.

i have a grille that i'm working on which is pretty ghetto, and my rusty hood mod could be considered sucky.

but its a fairly solid car and i love it. nothing like a nicely tuned 3L at full clip.... makes ya smile
