Thread: Finally owning up to it

Default Finally owning up to it

I haven't posted any updates in a while, because 2 weeks ago my eyebrows go ka-pwned because someone is a reckless tart...

So needless to say my eyebrows where crushed by a box in the garage and needed the bonded sanded/cut out to repair all the cracks in the fiberglass. They are at least structural sound again...but they look like crap...So its back to the bondo stage again. Just sucks because they were primed and I only need to touch up one spot on the driver side.

And I still haven't fixed my temp guage, but the fact that it shows past the red, just lets me know the engine is warm at 6am..

Are the rear tire still clunks periodically. :shrugs:

And my car is dirty again... I drove it a total of 40 miles in the last 3 weeks, and it looks like i with down a few dozen dirt roads @ 50.

I Guess I'm never gonna win.

But I did get work that my summer internship wants me back for christmas at a possible 10/hr. Which means I might have my car offically paid off after winter break!

Thats great to hear that you should be getting your car paid off...that means more money for toys for the car! I just paid off my second Contique and I am working on my third, a 2000 Contour SE. Sucks to hear the eyebrows got squashed, hope they turn out ok. I'd definately be interested to see how progress is going on them and how they turn out when they are done. Good Luck!

Sorry to hear that your eyebrows got trashed. All that work and now you need to fix them up. Bummer.

Great news on returning to the place that you did your internship, this time with a paying gig. WooHoo, paying off the Contour...a good feeling.

So, what's left...getting the clunk figured out and the temp gauge replaced. Not bad.

Yo Scott, you bringing your 'Tour up for finals week next week? I am, and since I have absolutely no finals from 4-7 tuesday until 2-4 thursday, wednesday will be a good cruise day. Also you can check out the huge black scuff on the passenger side of the front bumper from some jerk who didn't even leave a note while my car was sitting in the mall parking lot about 2 weeks ago. I have such bad luck with my passenger side.

Haha funny story actually, no, I got flooded (literally) with work over the summer cleaning up the flood with PennDOT, and I only got one day off before I came back to school and I haven't really been home too much. I do have a month long winter break though with no work or anything so more than likely then, though I probably won't mount it until spring time. And now I have to see if this black scuff with buff out or not, there's no scratches really, just black paint scuffed all over mine, I may have to have the kid paint my bumper while he's at it.

What's it been, two years now that you've had the fender? One of these days.

Hopefully some compound will take the black off the bumper and painting won't be necessary.

it used to be i couldn't front the money for it so the kid could pay me back, but now I'm just too busy, oh well, it doesn't bother me for now, I have more pressing issues at hand, like passing my classes, or figuring out my IMRC

No I really doubt if I am ever going to bring a car up here again. Last week I saw a stupid chick hit someone car with her door 3 times..two with the front door getting out, and once with the back door...

And yeah I can't wait to get things done!
