Brakes problem

whats up guys.

My dad has a 2000 contour SE V6 with rear drums and i just drove his car last weekend and the i could tell the brakes were really really bad. He told me its been like that since he bought it.

I am ordering some Hawk HPS pads brembo rotors with satisfied rear shoes and i am going to flush his system too.

The question is do all the contours have problem with brakes or there is something wrong with his car?

Define "really bad." Do they pulse? Do they not stop you well?

There could be more than just pads and shoes that are the culprit here. You might want to service the front calipers before doing the brakes as well.
