    Default No response to braking???

In my brothers 95 SE, the deck has a G meter in it. For a while the brakes have been pretty ****ty, like i can SLAM on them and hit the floor and the car will not slow down fast at all... Its very unsafe IMO.

So yesterday i took it out and tested with the G meter, went to 40km/h and slammed on the brakes. Got a .55 negative G. Then i took it out and went up to 40, put the car in neutral (its a slushbox) and slammed on the brakes. Got a .70 Neg G...

Now i would REALLY like to know why it makes that much of a difference. In relative terms, if i did that in my car i would probably get -1.3 or something.

Fluid has been flushed twice in the past couple months, has brand new pads in the front and rear... Im starting to think its the Master Cylinder is gone.. any way to check this?

Are you sure there isn't a hydraulic leak somewhere?

I would think that if the MC was gone, you would not be able to push the brake pedal all the way to the floor (and that could also be indicative of a vacuum leak from the manifold to the MC).

Your brake pedal goes all the way to the floor without resistance?
