Thread: Air Ride?

    Default Air Ride?

I'm not a big fan of air ride but I want to lower my 98 CSVT. I have a stock set up now and I drag often at the stock hieght around where I live. I figure that air ride is the only way that I would be able to accomplish this and be able to adjust the ride hieght in a moments notice. Has anyone ever seen it on a CSVT or is it even possible. Also if you have any other possible set ups that may work let me know. Thanks. Zack

    Hi and Welcome!

I believe there is a video on youtube of a tour on bags...

    Correct, air struts, not bags

Ok so it is possible, but is this going to be a completely custom set up. I'm guessing that they don't specifically make these for a CSVT, do they? And do you have any idea what I'm looking at price wise? Also will this improve the handling of the car as much as a normal lowering would.

Air ride is normally expensive and relatively hard to setup and with the added weight it probably won't do too much to help your drag times. Now an option that you may want to consider, even though it does take a little longer to adjust, is a set of ground control coilovers with koni struts. This will give you adjustability of ride height, maybe not as quick as you like, and one of the best suspension setups for the CSVT. Just my .02 cents.
