Thread: time for new pads, kvr, mintex or ...

  1. Default time for new pads, kvr, mintex or ...

hey guysi pretty much have narrowed it down to the kvr carbon pads found here: http://www.ctamotorsports.com/indexca.htm, or the mintex a/f found here: http://64.202.180.37/files/cbrake.pdf. if anyone has any experience with them let me know.
    thanks

Neither. Bendix Titanium. Those KVR's suck! Backing plate seperate's from the pad and do not work at all in the rain.

The A/F's are good, or at least they've been good for me. I can't speak for the others, but there was a rash of reports here that the KVRs did not work well at all when cool--hence very poor rain performance.
    Function before fashion.

I heard a couple ppl here say that. I've used 5 sets on different cars and brake setups and never had an issue.

I was very happy with EBC Greenstuff pads. I would also recommend Hawk HPS. If you really want the best pads look at Porterfield.

EBC's are junk, and that's from my own experience, not bias.

There's a reason why I sell Bendix Titanium - they work!
