I scurrred, look at the majority of those cars :ponder:

Thats all the better Todd (96HawkCnvt) could do? $235?? Geez... we were getting on the track with DonnyBrooke Performance out of Wazata for $160. That included 2hrs of training and the rest of the day for track time. Todd organized it with DonnyBrooke for our F-body club (www.mnfbody.com). I suppose things are different now that he runs his own outfit (TrackTime Motorsports).

In any case if I get my suspension installed I'm up for doing this.

Keep in mind though if you do this you will want to get fully sythetic brake fluid and steerig fluid (keeps it from boiling). Also bring a spare set of brake pads and possibly rotors. This is really hard on your car.

At least you guys know your going for sure... LOL.. I dont even know if im gonna.

Also I have been thinking about the BIR thing for quite a while. I wanna try out a road track... But it sounds like its really expensive. :(

And your car could take most of them in that.

a lot of it is in the driver. my buddy can drive the wheels off his fiero. when he was at a track day in oklahoma (or nebraska, somewhere like that) he was driving his 4 cyl 88 coupe. NO ONE passed him, even guys with V8's and bigger V6's.

i see mark utech is going, hmm, (he is a rally driver from MN, was/is friends with my old barber lol). great guy, and can drive the pants off anything he has there. a couple years ago i was up there for a track day to watch and he was out in his (at the time) WRX STI. all you ever heard from him was screetching tires cause he was drifting every corner :D

Im going to pass this on to my buddies and see if they want to go. that really is a good price for what you get.

I think I could probably hang with some of those cars but I'm a track noob so I would prefer a day where it was slower cars so I wouldn't feel so bad if I accidentally held up traffic

I'd be down for spectating!

Status update here? Have we figured out when we are leaving and where we are going to meet up? This is getting closer by the day and i still need to get time off of work.

Passing normally isn't common place at these events. You can only pass on straight aways and normally you don't get passed unless you are driving extremely slow.

Not really...I still need to figure out when exactly I need to leave... So how bout we all get this thread off of road racing and back on topic and figure this all out?
