what to do for a P1101 OBD Code?

'99 contour 4 cyl.
everything says Mass Air flow sensor out of self test range.

How do I fix this? My car will sometimes die intermittently while slowing and making turns sometimes also. Maybe the 2 are related.

I have replaced the pcv valve and hose, put a new fuel filter on, and tested the fuel pressure.

No one has had this before?
