    Default Polygamy House?

    http://www.utahrealestate.com/744929

Here's a fairly sweet victorian house in Ogden, Utah I found while searching for a new project. About 6K sq ft where every floor has it's own bedrooms, family/livingrooms, kitchens and baths. 11 bedrooms and 7 baths It needs a total gut job, floor plan change and then some.

You used to be able to pick up some older homes in Utah that were obviously used for polygamist families at one time. This is the first I've seen in almost a decade. Many spiral staircases in the walk-in closets of every master suite in a sweet vintage 4-5 story victorian. There actually isn't a lot of polygamy in northern Utah, as crazy as that sounds. Arizona has more than we do

Ogden is an older city in Utah, and has a pretty cheap housing market for Utah.... if not the cheapest. Here one of many victorians' (non-polygamist style) that' are going for peanuts up there.

I grew up in a 1890's victorian in downtown Sacramento, 11 blocks from the State Capitol. Absolutely love em, but have no desire to own a project home and ones that are fully remodeled are kinda spendy.

I used to be so in love with Victorian homes. I remember I kept an old magazine article that listed some vendors that sell blueprints to build your own. I was hoping to build my own one day.

I'm not so interested in it anymore though. I don't know why.

Because now that you own a house, you know what goes into maintaining a newer house with fewer rooms.

Anybody else notice the $240k price tag? DAMN homes must be cheap out there! (or its not nearly as nice as the photos let on) The photos don't show much of the custom woodwork but I'm sure there is quite a bit more.

Old houses are great, although I think you not only have to have the time but the money and patience in owning one. A good friend of mine has a 1748 farmhouse in their family. I don't there is a floor in that house that is actually level and the insulation is fairly poor but there are so many details that you would never get in a house built these days.

I'd like to buy up a brownstone and rennovate it but my pockets aren't nearly deep enough. $1.5MM plus the time/cost of rennovations. Alot of them are in the hood too...

I don't quite comprehend this sentence for some reason. Could you clarify please?
