What suspension upgrades for my Mondeo (contour)

hi my name is john, i couldnt find a welcome area so i might aswell make this my first post.

Im 21 and live the the UK, i own a Mk2 mondeo which is the different tail end to yours but has the same style headlights to your post 98's. Im not sure but my local Fraud place calls them the smilie face model.

Anyway more to the point. I am aware of suspension upgrades via MEG (mondeo enthusiast group) which are available from BAT.

I have purchased the uprated rear sway arms for the mondeo but i need more info.

What upgrades is there and do you guys have pics aswell. Ive heard of a coil over kit and until recently i didnt even know what this was. Im looking at the 21mm anti roll bar.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Ive been a MEG'er for a year now and once i started to get a feel for the mondeo world (in your case the contour) i had been meaning to sign up but it wasnt until i saw something on here that prompted me to do so.

Just hope i can get all the info so i can tighten my cars suspension up.

I have the Bat 21mm and like it. Haven't been able to go to the track since I got it. So no real comments on it

John: What are "rear sway arms"? Unless the rr suspension has been redesigned with a new part or this is a British term, I've never heard of such a thing. I know about the boot, bonnet, petrol and tyres...

If you add a BAT or any other larger than stock rr sway bar, you will have to reinforce the subframe. Now this comment is based on the subframe used in NA Contiques from '95 through 2000. Maybe Ford beefed it up when they redid the Mondeo for it's second gen iteration?

I fabricate plenty of custom suspension parts, but I'm biased. Gather your opinions and then I can help.

on the rear subframe is two arms going to each hub. There was a MEG group buy on 'uprated rear sway arms' which replace the thin arms at the very rear of the rear subframe.

Does that make sense?
