Diagnostic Port ?

Ok I have had my car for 3 weeks and put 300 miles on her already, today coming home my CEL came on (About time). I go to Vato Zone and none of the guys can find the diagnostic port so I go to another Zone location and nobody there can find it either.

Am I missing something, where is this thing located ?

For the 1996 and later model years, it is supposed to be left of your steering column just under the dash. It is held on a rigid post (unless it broken and someone just pushed it up onto the bottom of the instrument dash panel).

Ok found it, it was an 02 Sensor. It rained real hard today so probably from the water so I reset it and hope it dont come back tommorrow.
