Thread: Doing a transmission flush?

    I was planning on doing a transmission flush and replace it with Synchromax Royal Purple gear oil but I need to know how many quarts does it take?....

    Drain and refill. Get 3 quarts ready.

    It's fill to spill with the car level.

    The early ones take 2.7 quarts. After early 2000 the trans was slightly revised and the fluid capacity on those is 2.2 quarts. In either case, slightly more will not hurt.
