Default added more memory... Battery life?

So I added more memory to my laptop today. I ordered a 512 mb Stick, and it got my woundering... Would adding more memory boost or hurt my battery life? Because I usualy get about 3 hours to a charge but I was guessing it could be better if the hard drive didnt have to work as much with the added memory... Am I right in thinking that I will get mildly better battery life out of my laptop with the added memory? The little Celeron M in it certainly does go with the extra memory. At times i even forget its a celeron I can do daily tasks so quickly.

If it keeps your the processor from having to access the swap file on the hard drive, it will make a noticable improvement on battery life.

I agree, disk drives use more energy than DRAM.

I can't wait to see how one of those flash-hard drive combos work out in real life...

I told myself before that I was waiting for perpendicular drives before upgrading my 80GB 5400RPM in mine. Now I guess I'm waiting for these flash jobbies.
