Thread: defective bearing ?

  1. Unhappy defective bearing ?

I had new struts, springs and strut mounts on 97 GL V6. Today I find there is squeaking noise comes from the left front suspension when I turn the steering wheel slowly with the car in "P" and engine running. If someone turns the wheel I could see the upper spring seat rubs the strut mount and makes noise. maybe the bearing between seat and mount is not working properly?

Mount bearing is Monroe Mounting Kit 902953 from Advance Auto.I do not know if it is defective or other problem?

I searched forums. Maybe the reason is non-Ford strut mounts? Did anyone install Monroe strut mounts without any problem?

    Thanks
