Has anybody ever tried running the exhaust out of the front jack point covers?

Don't think so. I know hector has done side exhausts out of the rear jack covers. Also it's illegal to have exhaust pipes coming out before the doors...or something to that effect.

It is harmful to performance to run the exhaust out the front jackpoint covers. I would suggest using the rear, as it is the best spot.

Never explain---your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe you anyway.
I was thinking about it but I probably won't because it costs less to stick with the stock setup.
