Thread: Dual-core radiator for Coutour?

    Default Dual-core radiator for Coutour?

    Hi;
    My 1995 Contour I-4 has always had a problem with effective cooling.
    It's not just this car, I've had rentals and friends have reported that
    the engine runs a hot. Perhaps it is the stock radiator size or maybe
    the cool air openings in the grille.

    Does anyone know of a dual-core radiator available for a Contour
    in stock configuration (at reasonable price)? Sure I can have a nice
    aluminum unit made up from scratch but it would probably cost more
    than the value of the car.

    Regards

    the radiator is more than adequate for the car. even with my turbo setup on 95+ degree days in stop & go traffic i never even reached 220 degrees on my scan gauge. if your factory temp gauge is displaying more towards the "A" and "L" then replace the coolant temp sending unit. its the one on the underside of the thermostat housing.

    i think a focus one would work, from what i belive you have to custom mount them for the focus anyways. if you got one of those though, you would need to get a large external trans cooler(if you have an atx)
