Philips Vision Plus bulbs - good deal!

Hey guys and gals.

I think I've found a good deal on Philips Vision Plus (+50%) bulbs.

The only thing is that I can't tell if aid-auto is selling the really good +50% version that suvlights is selling. I emailed auto-aid asking this question and they confirmed their bulbs are indeed the same as the ones on suvlights.

I'm thinking of replacing my 4 year old bulbs (Philips BlueVision 9005 modified to fit in 9006). I want to put in Philips Vision Plus 9005s as 9006s.

Anybody purchased from auto-aid before? Anyone used Vision Plus 9005s as 9006s...have any oncoming glare problems?

just how good are these bulbs. i hate the silverstars output. i took them out after one night. and has anyone heard about those infa-red bulbs from rallylights.com? if so how are they

Philips Vision Plus are very highly rated halogen upgrade bulbs.

They are clear (no blue coatings) and they actually produce more light that reaches the road. They are recommended by DanielStern lighting (reputable site) along with Osram SilverStars (these are DIFFERENT than Sylvannia Silverstars), GE Nighthawks and other +50 bulbs.

The HIR bulbs are also very cool too, but are significantly more expensive. I've heard the Toshiba HIR bulbs are the best ones on the market.

I got those bulbs from AutoAid about a year or more ago. I can attest to the bulbs and to the vendor.

I mean, all I did was place an order and the stuff arrived with no hassles. So I guess AA is A-OK.

The bulbs were noticeably brighter on my early headlights than the stock bulbs they replaced. Most noticeable on the high-beam.

Sought out those bulbs after doing a ton of research on the Daniel Stern site, and elsewhere.

Did you put 9005 (highs) in the lows (9006), or just go with the normal 9006's in the lows?

Just get HIDs. If I could go back I wouldn't have wasted my money on those bulbs, and just put that money towards the real deal!

While I don't for a second disagree that HIDs are worth the money...we are talking about a serious price difference here. $14.99 vs. hundreds of dollars. And my current set of 9005 Philips have served me as low beams since 2001. My car is 9 years old and retrofitting HIDs seems a bit overkill for me (especially since the headlight housing isn't designed with that in mind). I'll just save the money and keep it for HIDs when I get my next car in 2-4 years.

With that said, I love HIDs...have any pictures of your setup?
