Thread: exhaust cut-out to bypass cat?

  1. #1

Question exhaust cut-out to bypass cat?

i recently read this article in the nyt's, and was curious if this would be one way to try and pass smog check for people who have removed cat's and/or want to tone things down (not me).

    thanks

If I ever get a turbo, I do want a cut out. After seeing the gains on a dyno of a CSVT with and without the y-pipe in place... that should make a decent difference.

i've seen/heard cutouts on turbo's probes before...its nice if you want to dd the car and keep in low key,but when that annoying ricer pulls up,its nice to be able to flip a switch and open it up
