want to upgrade front brakes to 278mm

I've got a 96 tour gl (zetec w/atx) and 15" rims. I want to upgrade to the larger 278mm rotors found on the SVT and some others. I've scoured the forums and as I understand:

1) The larger brakes will fit under my 15" rims
2) All I need is to get the caliper mounting bracket for the larger rotors and the larger rotors.

Is this correct?

Correct.

Make sure you get the brackets for the LATE SVT or the large Cougar. The brackets for the EARLY SVT won't work with your calipers. You can do it with the early SVT parts if you also use the early SVT calipers.

On the Cougar cast into the caliper bracket - 15 for the correct one.
I helps when grubbing around in the scrap/junk yard.
