New SVT owner

Hey guys,

Just bought a 98 SVT and I love it. It has just under 100k and needs a front wheel bearing badly but, overall, I'm impressed.

It will make a great daily driver that can surprise a few unsuspecting folks from time to time.

I can finally go crazy with my other SVT, a 2003 Cobra...

Congrats and welcome there's alot of really helpful people on here tons of knowledge here too. Glad you like the car and a piece of advice, search before you post with a question these guys can be kinda ruthless sometimes.

Welcome! Congrats on the SVT.
Make sure there is at least 6 quarts of oil in the car. Some like to run 6 1/2 quarts to help with the oil starvation issues on sweeping right hand turns at higher RPMs.
Also, add coolant to the top of the letters "MAX" on the coolant tank. These cars also have a picky coolant sensor and will sometimes set off the coolant light even if it's at the MAX line (bottom of). So add some extra.

Haha glad someone else noticed too, I've been browsing around and the rules are very strict, and very enforced. I think it's because some of these folks have been on CEG for close to a decade, and obviously if you've seen somebody ask "how do I _____?" for the 50 gazillionth time (when there's a sticky of it in the how-to section) it wears pretty thin.

As long as you read the rules, they're pretty straightforward and you should be fine
