Can I weld SVT mufflers to a pipe to my stock resonator?

I'm picking up some used mint SVT mufflers, and basically I want to cut my old muffler off from the resonator and have a new piece of pipe welded so I can basically get the true dual exhaust, is that possible?

Stock SVT units are 2" baffled mufflers. (i.e. crap) While they physically may fit inside the tunnel they are no better then the stock 2" resonator. What you want is a straight through design muffler. What you truly want is to ditch the restrictive stock 2" crush piping for a 2.25" to 2.5" mandrel bent cat-back. (i.e. Trubendz)
