Hello all,
Figured I'd introduce myself. Just picked up a 2000 CSVT #361 Black Clearcoat/Midnight Blue. Car was formerly owned by a SVT now Super duty Engineer.
I lurked the forms for quite some time before finally picking up the car.
Most of the fixes/upgrades have been done
-Trans switched over to the Ford "honey"
-dash warp fix kit installed
-fog with parking lights mod
-added the door handle de-contented lights
-water pump with metal impeller
-new control arms
-regular tune up items
-upgraded fuel pump per Ford TSB
I converted over from the General having owned 3 Grand Prix GTP's. Sure the CSVT doesn't have the straight line get up and go, but it sure is much more fun in the twisties.
The only problem I've found so far, around 6,000/6,500 I get the Charge System light that flickers on, used the search and seems alternator or voltage regulator(belt seems alright). Either way looks like I'll be doing my first work on it sooner than expected.
I look forward to learning from the vast amount of knowledge posted by all of you in this forum and hopefully make it out to a meet sometime.
