    Question Rerouting HVAC Controls

Has anyone moved their HVAC controls to the empty slot in a pre-98 console? I would really prefer to have both head units next to each other in the upper dash, and was thinking about moving the controls down.

Anything specific I need to be aware of? Any suggestions? Is this just too big a PITA to bother messing with?

i know someone moved it into the center console. you should only have to extend all the lines to make it work

Are we talking vaccuum lines, mechanical lines, what? I'm assuming vaccuum lines. Any suggestions on how to lengthen them? Last thing I want is to crater my controls.

Brapple is correct. Just get vacuum hoses which have an inner diameter the same (maybe a tiny weenie smaller) as the outer diameter of hose for the a/c damper door switch and wiring (and splice connectors) and you should be good to go. When you open it up, you will see it.
